2nd Annual Toy Run was a Huge Success

The Steele Angels 2nd Annual Toy Run was a huge success. The organization wishes to thank everyone who participated. A special thank you to our sponsors for donating to this event. All in all there were approximately 250 bikes that participated in the event. A trailer load of toys was collected for the needy children of Cumberland County during the event. Because of the caring people of our community the Steele Angels Organization was able to assist several local charities such as the Partnership for Children, The Battered Womens Shelter, The Sherriffs Department, The Highway Patrol Department, and the Fayetteville Police Department. Toys and stuffed animals were given to each of these organizations to be distibuted to needy children. The Steele Angels were also able to adopt a total of 9 needy families, it is because of the generous donations made by the community that we were able to make Christmas very special for these families and their children.

Again, thank you to our community for all your support. See you next year for the 3rd Annual Toy Run.

What kind of toys should I donate for the Toy Run?

What kind of toys should I donate? A common question that has been asked recently. Please donate toys for children of all ages, boy or girl, interactive toys, books, dolls, cars, teddy bears, puzzles, board games, etc. IF you are unsure, you can always make a cash donation or donate a gift certificate from a local store such as Walmart, Target, Kmart, etc. We were all children once, go back to your childhood and find a favorite item you used to love to play with.

Toys can be used for children ages 0 to 17. If you are donating a toy for a small child however, please make sure that there are no loose parts that can come off and get in their mouths. We do not want a child to choke because a peice or part came loose.

Please no toys that can be hazardous to the children such as BB Guns, Paintball Guns, etc.

As always the Steele Angels appreicate your support. Let's make this Toy Run a huge success, and make a lot of children happy this holdiay season.

Steele Angels head to Myrtle Beach for the Annual Fall Bikefest

Well the fall rally has come and gone, the Steele Angels traveled around the city checking out the "in" spots.......we had a blast. This year the rally had two bike accidents, one unfortunately was fatal. The accidents were not caused by the riders of the bikes, but by people in automobiles not paying attention to the riders around them.
Popular spots we visited were The Doghouse, Suck, Bang, Blow, Broadway at the Beach, The Broken Spoke. The weather was beautiful.
Up next is our 2nd annual Toy Run.........please scroll below for updates on the event. Continue to check the web, as it will be updated on a regular basis with sponsor information, prizes, and ride info.
